Every firm says quality. Few write down what they'll actually hold themselves to. This is the standard behind every Group 4 engagement — what you can expect, and what you can hold us to.
Independence is not negotiable.
Group 4 is paid by one party and works for that party's outcome. No side deals with trades, no soft passes for a builder we might see on the next job.
Nothing closes on a say-so.
A defect is closed when reinspection says it's closed. Not when the subcontractor texts "done."
One register. One truth.
If it isn't in the register, it didn't happen. If it is, it has a location, a photo, a price, an owner and a date.
Exposure is a number, not a mood.
You'll never hear "it's mostly under control." You'll see what's open, what it costs and which trade owns it.
Bad news travels fastest.
If the date is at risk, you hear it the day we know it — with the evidence and the options, not three weeks later with excuses.
Reports are written to be read.
One page a board can act on beats forty pages nobody opens. The detail sits behind it for anyone who wants to check.
The record outlives the argument.
Every inspection is time-stamped and photographed, so if anything is ever contested, you're holding evidence, not recollections.
Respect for the trades.
Accountability isn't hostility. Trades that fix things properly get their reinspections fast and their names cleared in the register.
Finished means finished.
The engagement ends with a sign-off pack, not a shrug — register closed out, records handed over, nothing left in a drawer.
If we can't help, we say so.
First conversation is free and honest. If your close-out doesn't need Group 4, you'll be told exactly that.
